I’ve been trying to get a little more fancy with the treats for the kids, I like this and it is about as easy as it comes.
With as fast as it all gets devoured, I don’t want to start crying when it gets all cut up, so we make it fast and have fun with it.
This is a double batch of brownie mix, only because we like it thick and to cover the amount of people at the party. We don’t frost the brownies, but you can. Our family just happens to love the taste of brownies and the frosting is usually a little bit too much.
We just made a surrounding fence out some scrap wood that was cut up and gued together. Use anything however, chipboard or construction paper works great. It is just a border design to help cover up the sides of the dish.
The headstones are Milano cookies. For the crosses, we cut out the design with one of those steak knives that have the micro saw blade edge. The same with the coffin rising out of the ground.
Using cake decorating tips, we added frosting highlights and wrote on the tombstones. We made a small mound of frosting in front of the tombstones and sprinkled crushed graham crackers over it and around the cemetery.
There you have it. Graveyard Brownies. Enjoy!
