The plants are dying back and much to my delight they are exposing probably the best pumpkin crop I have ever had.
How could you not get excited about Halloween when pumpkins are involved.
The last count it looks like we have about 27 pumpkins with most of them being 18 – 20 inches across. Plenty enough for the grandkids and to share with neighbors.
Of course if you love Halloween then I think it is mandatory to love pumpkins. I love the spooky Jack-O-Lanterns, I love pumpkin pie, pumpkin pie spice. I love the smells of pumpkin pie baking in the oven and one of my favorites is Pumpkin Crunch Cake.
I just put the recipe for Pumpkin Crunch Cake in the recipe section. It is also the inspiration for one of my Halloween Candle Scents “Hallows’ Haunt”. It is the wonderful smells of this cake as it is coming out of the oven. Be sure to check them both out.
Now that writing this has already got my mouth watering, I think I’ll light one of those candles and go ask my wife if we have all the ingredients to have a Pumpkin Crunch Cake treat night tonight. Everything about this season is YUMMM!
