Wow, This Halloween season really crept up on me. It took me by surprise because I do Halloween all year long now. All of a sudden I started seeing Halloween items in all my favorite stores and I just started getting giddy.
It is really getting busy for me right now. I spend all year trying to keep people excited about Halloween so they can get their decorations built and then all of sudden everyone is panicking because they didn’t start their projects before last Thanksgiving.
I truly believe in balance in our lives when it comes to holidays. I love them all and they have a special place in our lives to help us enjoy our friends and families and celebrate whenever we get the chance.
Just as long as none of them interfere with Halloween!
If you love Halloween like I do, then you understand how much time it takes to prepare for the next year. Halloween quickly not only becomes an event, but a hobby which never ends. Everyone that thinks you are as weird as you know that you truly are, not only looks forward to seeing what you are going to do for Halloween, but they expect bigger and greater things each year.
Truthfully it becomes frightfully and joyfully exhausting.
There are two main decorating holidays each year. My wife is the Christmas decorator. I am the Halloween Nut! I believe that both holidays bring much joy and happiness to our lives and there is a wonderful place in my heart for both of them.
When it comes to decorating, I think these two holidays become very good friends and we have learned a lot from each of them. Christmas has always carried with it many great traditions of Christmas trees and beautiful holiday lights and great yard decorations that send those romantic childhood feelings soaring each and every year.
Now, we decorate with a Halloween Tree every year, and adorn the house with Halloween colored lights. Our yard is turned into a creepy cemetery which has the same results of those childhood memories of our past Halloweens.
I am seeing more and more Halloween accents in the Christmas decorating as well. I am seeing Halloween ornaments on the Christmas Trees and last year I saw several skeletons in a yard wearing Santa hats. I just enjoy seeing people having fun and enjoying what the holidays bring.
I am introducing a Halloween tree ornament that will also work beautifully on your Christmas Tree. Please check it out in the Store on this Website. They are wire spider webs with the elusive spider hanging from it. Regardless of what you think of it. I love it and have had so much fun creating it.
I asked people on all the social networks for their ideas on how to finish these. And so, because of everyone’s input, I have them in four colors, Black, Silver, Purple and Orange. The colors are created with glitter which everyone told me I needed to have on them. The spider has varying glass beads on them and (patting myself on the back) I think they are really creepily cute.
I wanted to see how they would look on a Christmas Tree and so my first thought was “Hey! Who would have Christmas Trees up in August? Hobby Lobby of course. I ran over to the nearest store and sure enough, I walked in and Christmas was everywhere. My wife stood guard as a took my ornaments and hung them all over their trees to see how they looked. I even got an order for one while I was checking it out.
I managed to take pictures of all of them and get out of the store before getting thrown out and I was very pleased with how well they looked on the trees.
What do you think?!
