I have to admit that I have a thing for Witches. There is just some kind of a romantic feeling when someone mentions a witch. I love them all. From the Lovely, young sinister witch all the way down to the old Hag leaning over her cauldron stirring up that next evil potion.
I’ve always been a bit disappointed in the Disney movies because no matter how hard I root for the evil witch, they never seem to win. But Hey, I’ll keep rooting for them anyway.
My favorite type of witch lives deep in the forest in a little cottage tucked far away from the common traveler. She spends her time communicating with her familiar and creating oh such wonderful potions. No wonder I love Halloween so much.
Each witch has special tools of the trade and I have decided to focus on some of those tools and recreate them in a way to make them wonderful for any spooky, creepy setting.
As I peek into my favorite witches window, I see her standing over her cauldron chanting some indescribable evil words with her staff in her hand, raised high in the air and laughing outloud as a plume of smoke rises upwards. She speaks softly to the small skull mounted on the top of her staff and surprisingly it speaks back. That is when I know it is time for me to run as fast and as far as I can from the creepy little cottage in the woods.
Here is my version of a witch’s staff. She uses it much like a wand as she wields its powers to create her desires. I hope you enjoy it. I especially hope you are curiously creeped out by it.
So be sure to check it out in my store, and as always…
