I woke up this morning and every muscle in my body was hurting. I must have found a very uncomfortable position to sleep in last night and stayed that way all night long. As I struggled to roll over and check what time it was, I noticed it was Friday the 13th. I laid back and while staring at the ceiling I thought “Figures!”
Okay, so now I am up and feeling much better. I don’t believe in all that superstitious stuff anyway. OUCH! I just stubbed my toe! No, not really, just kidding. However it is kind of funny how much superstitions play a part in our lives. Even when we don’t realize it. I am interested in finding out more about this thing called superstition because I am sure that it has to be connected to Halloween in some way. Just makes sense.
Most people will say that they are not superstitious at all. I am in that category. That category is named “Denial”. I don’t have a superstitious bone in my body. The fact that a few weeks ago when my favorite football team threw a long pass for a touchdown right when I happened to sneeze, made it totally logical for me to force myself to sneeze every time they passed the ball from then on to assure a completed pass.
So you see, what most people would call superstition is actually logical science at work. yeah, I’ll go with that one.
Okay, now that I have successfully stored all my Halloween decorations, removed my makeup, and yes, even put my wife’s Christmas lights up, I am now back in the studio working hard to get ready for Halloween.
I am introducing my new Witch’s Chalice. It is just a variation of the same chalices that I’ve been selling but I continue to learn and improve how I do things and this is the chalice that I’ve come up with. It is ceramic, glazed, and stands 6-3/4″ tall and is food safe.
Please check it out here in my store. This is the direction I will be going in making these now, and I love it.
What a wonderful addition this will be to your apothecary setting. Whether it is for your Halloween decorating or for your potion and spell making, this is a beautiful timeless piece.
I am looking forward to this upcoming year in creating and sharing everything Halloween and making many new friends along the way.
Happy Halloween everyone, and keep smiling.
